Nation Tribe: Fort Yuma Quechan Tribe
525 Algodones Road
Winterhaven, CA 92283
This casino is right off Interstate 8 in Winterhaven, CA. Closer to AZ than California though. We haven't stayed in too many Casino locations but this one seems pretty nice. It is very close to Los Algodones so if you are having any 'work' done down there it is close and free to stay here. This is a very well maintained Casino/Hotel/rv Park and entertainment complex. The gambling is fair and the food is good with positive steps to control the smoke although more attention still needs to be paid. The next time that you are in Yuma, Arizona, make sure to stop by the Quechan Casino Resort and pick up a pair of theater tickets to see a show. There is always endless entertainment at this venue. Whether you’re a Yuma resident, or just passing through, Quechan Casino Resort (The Q) is an ideal destination for leisure in the desert. Visitors of The Q are greeted by friendly hotel staff that take great pride in welcoming you to one of its 166 luxurious rooms, eight of which are 800-square foot suites. Each deluxe room has a flat-screen HDTV featuring on-demand programing, a Keurig® coffee maker and complimentary wireless Internet access.
Following check-in, enjoy any number of the property’s upscale amenities including its 24-hour fitness center and its famous theme park style pool. The lazy river pool invites guests to grab an inner tube and float down for the ultimate in relaxation and fun. In addition, the outdoor area includes a hot tub, towel service as well as food and bar service.
The Q’s most popular amenity, of course, is its stimulating gaming floor. Yuma’s hottest casino is home to more than 1000 slot machines including a high-limit room featuring a variety of multi-denomination reel and video reel slot machines. An eight-table poker room dominates the center of the gaming floor, dealing Texas Hold’em and various versions of Omaha Hi/Low. Other table games featured on property include Six-deck and Double-deck Blackjack, Three Card Poker Progressive, Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive, Mystery Card Roulette and Blackjack Switch.
From the slots to the pool, all the action is sure to build up an appetite, and The Q has several restaurants to satisfy any craving. A family-style eatery, the Ocotillo Café, serves a wide variety of meals including breakfast, soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches. It also has a selection of house specialties such as street tacos and chile rellenos. The menu is complete with an assortment of desserts and even a kids’ menu.
For those on the go, The Q has a full food court featuring quick eats like burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, deli-style sandwiches and more. Moreover, a full-service Starbucks® Coffee is located inside the casino serving fresh pastries and your favorite gourmet coffee drinks. If it’s food paired with fun you’re after, then Sidewinders Sports Bar & Grill is the place. Showing sports on the largest screen in the Yuma region as well as wall-to-wall TVs, Sidewinder’s is the perfect place to catch a game, grab a drink and munch on your favorite lounge snacks. On Friday and Saturday nights, this bar & grill features the city’s best local live entertainment.
For a quieter, more elegant dinner experience, The Q’s Ironwood Steakhouse offers warm décor with wood and stacked stone walls, sculpture art adorns the walls and guests can relax in the restaurant’s comfortable leather chairs. Beyond the stylish décor is Ironwood’s delicious menu. Steaks, succulent seafood and farm fresh vegetables are expertly prepared by award-winning chefs and paired perfectly with the restaurant’s extensive wine list.
Rounding out a night of dinner and gaming action could be a stop at the Pipa Event Center for one of The Q’s headline shows. With a full stage, state-of-the-art sound and lighting and seating for 2,300, the Pipa Event Center is the ideal place to see such headline shows as Dwight Yoakam, Thunder from Down Under and the recent Elvis Expo.
